this hit me so hard, so hard. this is by far the most terrible post on tumblr i’ve ever seen. and i know some people get effected by certain posts differently but i WAS that girl. that was me. glasses, long hair and all. i know how she feels and i know exactly how she looks at herself and hates everything she sees. and it hurts me so bad because girls everywhere feel this way and they’re not even eight. it makes me sick, it makes me want to throw up. i’m honestly crying because this hit me so hard. her face, the way it falls when she sees herself. it’s terrible, it’s terrible, and im close to bawling. this makes me so sad, so so sad…..

she’s so perfect and I just want to cry.

In 1967, a German scientist wanted to figure out why people had nightmares. To conduct this experiment, he took 40 people of all ages and hooked them up to monitoring machines. He then injected them all with a sleep inducing drug, along with a drug he created which made people speak whatever went through their brains- conscious or unconscious While they slept, the scientist recorded their brain activity, and placed recording devices near each person’s mouth so that he could essentially record their dreams.
When the volunteers awoke, only one person reported to having a nightmare. The scientist disregarded all the other volunteer’s tapes, and focused on this one person’s tape- a young boy no more than 8.
What the scientist heard on this young boy’s tape is terrifying and essentially made the scientist leave his practice. We have the recording here.

And if someone asked me, as an Asian person, to “prove” to them that racism exists, I would laugh all the way back to Chinatown. Marginalized groups are not responsible for explaining their marginalization to you. If you are actually concerned, you would take the initiative to do some research yourself instead of showing up at some oppressed group’s door step demanding a list of citations for things (racism, sexism, etc.) that are proven time and time again in the real world.”
